Eligibility Requirements:

This is an open championship. There are no qualifying totals and/or competitions required to enter this championship. All lifters competing in the championship must be a member of USA Powerlifting. Membership cards will be available for purchase at registration prior to the start of the weigh-ins. Memberships to USA Powerlifting can now be purchased on-line here: www.usapowerlifting.com

Session I 7:00 am to 8:30 am – Weigh-in & equipment check for women’s weight classes 43kgs to 84+kgs 7:00 am to 8:30 am – Weigh-in & equipment check for men’s weight classes 53kg to 74kg 8:30 am to 9:00 am – Rules briefing/lifter warm-up for women’s weight classes 43kgs to 84+kgs 8:30 am to 9:00 am – Rules briefing/lifter warm-up for men’s weight classes 53kgs to 74kgs 9:00 am to 1:00 pm – Competition lifting for all athletes 1:00 pm to 1:30 pm – Awards presentation/Drug-testing Protocol
Session II 12:00 am to 1:30 pm – Weigh-in & equipment check for Men’s weight classes 83kgs, 93kgs, 105kgs, 120kgs and 120+kgs 1:30 pm to 2:00 pm – Rules briefing/lifter warm-up for Men’s weight classes 83kgs, 93kgs, 105kgs, 120kgs and 120+kgs 2:00 am to 6:00 pm – Competition lifting for all athletes 6:00 pm to 6:30 pm – Awards presentation/Drug-testing Protocol * Please take note, there will be NO early equipment check or weigh-ins.

 Awards:

Awards will be presented to all 1st – 5th place finishers, for each weight class and division. Champion of Champion awards will be presented to the best overall male and female lifters for the championship for Bench Press Only, Deadlift Only, Push/Pull and Powerlifting competitions. The overall best lifters will be determined by the Wilks formula. Awards will be presented to the 1st – 5th place teams.

American Records:

The athletes taking part in the 36th USA Powerlifting Florida State Championships are eligible to set USA Powerlifting American Records.

National Referees will be on hand to ensure records are certified.

Admission:

All spectators and coaches may enjoy the competition for an admission fee of $10.00 for the entire day. Contest programs and T-shirts will be available for an additional fee.

$100.00 – Combined Bench Press and Deadlift Competition [Push-Pull]
$85.00 – Bench Press Only Competition
$85.00 – Deadlift Only Competition
$35.00 – Each additional division entered (see above)
$100.00 – Team Entry Fee
$15.00 – Championship T-shirt [Small to Large]
$20.00 – Championship T-shirt [XL to XXXL]
$50.00 – Late Fee if competition entry form is after Friday, April 20, 2018

Registration Guidelines and Deadline:

Please take note of the entry form deadline – Friday, April 20, 2018. If your application/entry form is going to be late, you must notify the meet director either by email or telephone for confirmation to lift in the championship. The late fee will apply, regardless of the reason for the entry form is late. The late fee shall apply to everyone. There are NO refunds for any reason. Upon receipt of your entry form, all transactions are deemed final.

USA Powerlifting (formerly American Drug Free Powerlifting Association, Inc.) is the leading powerlifting organization in the United States. USA Powerlifting is a member of the International Powerlifting Federation (IPF), the governing body of powerlifting internationally. The IPF is comprised of member federations of 100+ countries on six continents. USA Powerlifting, through its affiliation with the IPF, also sends a national team to participate in the World Games. The World Games is an international multi-sports event hosted by the International World Games Association (IWGA) that falls under the patronage of the International Olympic Committee (IOC). The event consists of official sports and demonstration sports selected from those not included in the Olympic Games. The Games are held every fourth year, following the year of the Summer Olympics.
