| MISSION STATEMENT The mission of Florida Powerlifting is to promote drug-free powerlifting competitions, training seminars, and fitness events throughout the State of Florida. Overall, our goal is to promote a healthy and active lifestyle that will encourage strength and fitness enthusiasts to compete at thelocal, national and international level. USA Powerlifting is proud that Florida Powerlifting is the only recognized and official representatrive for powerlifting in the State of Florida. Statewide competitions are open to all amateur athletes from 14 years of age and higher. |

| Nick Israel from Wellington, Florida had a simply a remarkable year! During 2011, Nick set 10 Florida Collegiate State Records and 2 National Junior Championship Bench Press Records. At the recent Florida Sports Foundation (FSF) / USAPL Sunshine State Games Powerlifting Championships held in Lakeland, during December, Nick capped the year off with an America Colleiate and Junior record in the bench press with 468.00lbs. Nick was also the 2011 USAPL Junior National Bench Press Champion and is now setting his sights on the 2012 USAPL Men's National Championships that will be held in Orlando, on June 22-24, 2012. For his accomplishments during 2011, Nick was nominated for the prestigous Palm Beach County Amateur Athlete of the Year Award. Congratulations and the best of luck to Nick!! |
